I’m pleased to share a new addition to the NeuroDivine collection: the NeuroDivine Rosary for Hospital, a small Christ-centred companion for bedside prayer.

This is a book born very directly from hospital life.

I first began writing these prayers for myself while I was in hospital. In the uncertainty, waiting, fear, and exhaustion of those days, I wanted something simple enough to pray when concentration was difficult and words were hard to find. What began as a personal bedside prayer gradually became something I thought might be useful to others too.

Hospitals can be places of extraordinary care and kindness, but also of waiting, uncertainty, exhaustion, and fear. Sometimes prayer comes easily; sometimes all we can manage is a few familiar words.

This little book is for those moments.

Five Mysteries for Hospital Life

The main rosary follows five simple mysteries drawn from experiences that will be familiar to many patients and those who accompany them:

Christ in the Body
Christ in the Waiting
Christ in Those Who Care
Christ in the Fear
Christ in the Rest

Each mystery begins with a short prayer and is followed by a simple repeated response.

There is no expectation that the whole rosary must be completed. It can be prayed one mystery at a time, one bead at a time, or simply opened wherever prayer is needed.

Across the mysteries, there is also a small prayer of protection, entrusting each of the four corners of the hospital room to God’s keeping.

When Even That Is Too Much

The book also contains a Short NeuroDivine Rosary for the Hospital.

It has only one repeated prayer:

Jesus, remember me
when you come into your kingdom.

Bead by bead.
Breath by breath.

Sometimes that may be enough.

Made to Be Used in Hospital

I deliberately chose a compact Pocketbook format with spiral binding.

The spiral binding allows the book to lie flat beside a hospital bed or treatment chair without needing to be held open. The book is printed in full colour, with an illustration accompanying each of the five mysteries.

That practical element mattered to me. This is not intended simply to be a book about prayer in hospital. It is meant to be something that can actually be used there.
